Attention Members:

As 2020 comes to a close and we head to a new year we are all excited about, I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart for supporting BX in these extremely challenging, difficult, and unprecedented times! Without your support and our city’s support, things would look much different today. But, with the devastating damage Covid-19 is causing us all, it comes with a heavy heart that I must unfortunately announce the closure of our Calloway location effective end of day Thursday January 28th. I’m extremely sorry but with the combination of our lease ending and the continued challenges/restrictions associated with Covid-19, it’s simply not financially viable or prudent for BX to renew the Calloway lease. Covid-19 has made a significant dent in the health club space nationwide (and locally with closures & bankruptcy’s being filed by major gym chains), there’s simply not enough business to warrant 3 BX clubs within a few miles of one another along with other nearby competing gyms. We hope you understand the business side and thank you all for a blessed 15 years at this location we will forever be grateful for.

Starting immediately, all Calloway members may use any BX location. Our 2 closest clubs are the Olive Dr and Allen Rd locations. Both clubs were recently upgraded with larger free weight rooms and added equipment. These 2 clubs are newer and more efficient with all the same amenities (except basketball) you are used to. We will also continue upgrades at all locations as soon as Covid restrictions permit.

In closing, we will have a large equipment sale for some excess BX equipment on Saturday January 30th from 8am-5pm at the Calloway location. Details will follow.
